Location Description

It takes approximately 1hour from Belfast International airport to Ballycastle. From Ballycastle you can take the new fast ferry (aprox 20mins) to rathlin island, whilst leaving your car at Ballycastle harbour carpark. Cars are not allowed on the Island, apart from Island residents. Guests staying for more than 7 days can obtain a car permit from Moyle District Council. Our house is only a 200m walk from the harbour and can be easily reached by foot.

Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries operates a daily ferry service to Rathlin Island from Ballycastle, all year round. The MV Canna has a capacity for six cars and 140 passengers. The crossing takes roughly 45 minutes.
