Cape Clear Island year round ferry service is operated by Cailín Óir Ferry & Cruise Service with two vessles, Cailín Óir & Dún Aengus. Full commentary is provided on selected sailings, bicycles are carried free and a reciprocal ticketing arrangement operates with Schull Ferry Service during the summer months. Short detours on scheduled sailings can be made when whales, dolphins or basking sharks are spotted.

There are a minimum of 3 return sailings per day from April to September with two sailings most days the rest of the year. Special discounts apply to groups (over 10), family rates are available and refreshments are available on Cailín Óir.
